We often find ourselves recommending wines to replace the ‘old faithful’ and if you’re a Sauvignon Blanc drinker looking for something new, then look no further. This wine is packed full of ripe fruit flavours like passionfruit, peach and lime with a deliciously fresh and crisp finish.
Rueda, located in north western Spain, is a rarely visited region where the Verdejo grape is indigenous. The hot days and cool nights help steadily ripen the grapes throughout the year and the result is some of the world’s freshest, cripest and most aromatic white wines. This is no exception. Olga Tormo, the winemaker here, uses her experience and skill to bring out the character of these high altitude vineyards. Picking the grapes in the cold of the night helps retain their freshness and keeping the wine for three months on its lees (dead yeast cells which provide texture) means this is not just a GOOD quaffable wine, its SERIOUSLY GOOD.
