It’s WHITE. It’s RICH. It’s GREAT…
Labadens means companion or friendship and behind this wine is a partnership that bonded over a shared love of wine whilst at agriculture school in Toulouse. Fanny Breuil and Thomas Oui started production in Ventoux and Vacqueyras in the Rhone Valley. They love the soil and climate of this part of France which combine to make some of the best loved red wines of the world. And after beginning their winemaking journey with reds they have since branched out to making white wine.
A friendship that blossomed through a shared love of wine? I think we all have a few of those. And this wine is best placed to continue that trend. Rhone white can be an acquired taste but the Escartifique balances the richness of viognier with the acidity of sauvignon, it’s got fleshy flavours of passionfruit and gooseberry that will pair beautifully with a goats cheese salad as well as being bright floral and aromatic to make it far too easy drinking. Perfect for long chats into the night.
